There are several water guides available in the region to help you and your family have a safe and memorable day of fun on the river.  Whether you choose canoeing or tubing down the Toe River or a raucous ride down the Nolichucky…you won’t be disappointed.

Do you know the Nolichucky? The headwaters and tributaries of this powerful river begin on the slopes of Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi.  From there the river rushes along the border of North Carolina and Tennessee through a wild gorge rimmed with beautiful cliffs and flowery rhododendron.  You’ll enjoy from Class I to Class IV rapids so there is a little adventure on every level.
