The NC Mountaineer Festival is teaming up this year with the Mitchell County Historical Society’s Apple Butter Festival. This festival will not disappoint. Held in the northern end of our county, in the quaint town of Bakersville, NC, this festival features the Mighty Mountaineer Challenge, vendors on the creek walk with food vendors, Shriner’s car show, live music, a Chili & Cornbread cookoff & of course, apple butter making.
