Mountaineering Snow School 2021

We have gotten a ton of inquiries about our upcoming snow School and the gear list. This course is geared towards Alpine climbing but is also a beneficial course for those who are getting into winter backpacking. Yes it is taught in NC. No we do not have glaciers but we have conditions and locations that will allow us to practice the needed skills.

We have also had a ton of inquiries about the gear list so we have decided to post it here. Noting it looks like the February dates will be selling out. Date options are Jan 29-31 and Feb 19-21, 2021 .

Notes we do have some of the technical gear (crampons/yaktrax, harness, ice axes, ropes, webbing, cordelette and biners) for guests to use. COVID precautions will be taken. Masks required in shuttles and when social distancing is not an option.
